Coldstream

Cold Stream
One of our favorite landscape subjects is moving water. There are many ways to render this subject with the camera. We can “freeze” the movement or let the movement appear as a “streaking” path of flow or render all of the motion as a diffuse fog. Of these, it’s the streaking that shows the path and structure of the motion that we often find particularly interesting and beautiful.
In this winter image, the cold, rushing Merced River after leaving Yosemite Valley, tumbles through a gauntlet of snowy boulders as it makes its way towards California’s Central Valley.
In May we are traveling to Northern California to photograph a lot of moving water. There are still a few openings if you would like to join us! The info is at https://image-adventures.com/northern-california-adventure-waterfalls-and-mount-shasta/
