This, of course, is Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona. It’s Upper Antelope Canyon to be precise. I remember speaking to one of the guides about the canyon. He said that when he was a kid, it was just a great place for a few of the locals to play in. Now, Antelope Canyon is on just about the whole world’s bucket list and the word “crowded” doesn’t begin to describe the industrial tourism experience that has taken over.
Still, it remains a place of singular beauty. The cool depths on the hottest days, the way the camera captures the water sculptured walls, the infinite textures and shapes all collaborate to make it a worthwhile experience. Just bring your patience!
