It’s one of those views that you don’t forget. It’s quintessential America West. We always hope for weather to make our skies interesting and on this trip, things got very “interesting” indeed. Camping in a small tent during a powerful multi-day rain and lightning storm is not ideal but when things start to clear and you get colors and skies like this, you tend to forget all about the previous wet, thunderous, sleepless nights.
This, of course, as the late afternoon sun finds its way through the broken clouds, is Monument Valley.
