Yellow Bellied

A Yellow Bellied Marmot pops out of its den to watch me walk by. These curious critters are infamous for gnawing through tents or the rubber hoses under the hoods of cars. I encountered this fine specimen and its mate along a trail in Sequoia National Park. – JG
